Coming and Going

Sometimes it's impossible to know where you're going and all you have to guide you is a view of where you've been. You look ahead and it's pitch dark, you look back and the light is blindingly bright - ruining your night vision. The air is damp and the wind blowing in your face is cold and stale with death. In that moment, one has to cling to a $2 flashlight that barely works and keep moving forward.
